Welcome to The Embroidery Den

Established in 1972, The Embroidery Den is one of the longest running embroidery stores in Australia.

After passing through the loving hands of founders Esther and Elsa, followed by Ruth, and then Marguerite, The Den is now a family business run by Norma. Originally in Brighton, the shop is currently situated at 521 Highett Road, Highett, just 100 metres from Highett railway station and bus services.

We offer a diverse range of threads, needles, silk ribbons, kits, and fabrics, along with frames, tapestries, and lamps. Some of our stock is only available in-store, so if you’re in Melbourne we suggest you visit us in Highett to browse our full range. At The Den we run a variety of daily classes offering different embroidery techniques on linen, aida, wool, and canvas. We also host specialty workshops with talented artists throughout the year.
