We are happy to welcome Salli, a new embroidery teacher at the Embroidery Den who is happy to share her stitching expertise, tips and tricks with fellow embroidery lovers. Salli will join us every Tuesday afternoon as well as fortnightly on Tuesday mornings (dates below).

Wednesday Mornings with Christine Burton
Starting out with Crewel embroidery Christine has since gone on to learn numerous embroidery techniques from tutors in Australia and America and in 2019 completed the Certificate in Technical Hand Embroidery at the Royal School of Needlework in London. A member of numerous stitching groups, Christine also regularly exhibits her work at local events and teaches at the Embroiderer’s Guild of Victoria across the state and at various embroidery shops around Melbourne. Her work has also been published in ‘Inspirations’ embroidery magazine. Awarded the Ethel Oates Scholarship by the Embroiderer’s Guild in 2017, Christine has most recently focused on historic 17th-century embroidery techniques, in particular, Blackwork, Stumpwork, Crewel, and Goldwork and enjoys sharing these skills with today’s needleworkers.
Christine will be teaching at the Den Wednesday mornings starting from 1 February 2023. Bookings essential. Casual rates apply.

Wednesday Afternoons with Norma Jones
All embroidery levels welcome in this class. Bring a project or try something new. Work at your own pace with help on hand in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Thursday Morning Crochet for Beginners with Marion Mason
Join our new crochet class for beginners and develop new skills with Marion Mason. Have fun and get hooked on a craft that opens itself up to endless possibilities.
Marion will be teaching at the Den starting 2 February 2023.

Thursday Afternoon Needlework with Norma Jones
