Au Ver á Soie threads are made in France since 1820. This beautiful silk comes in 5m skeins. Dry cleaning Au Ver á Soie thread is recommended for all silk, but if you do hand wash use water no hotter than 35.C. and a mild soap. Test before washing by dipping a small piece in in cold or tepid water. Take a piece of white cotton fabric and lay it over the silk, then press with a warm iron. If there is any transfer of colour do not wash the item. Be very careful with darker colours.
