Happy New Year and Welcome to 2020!

We are very lucky to have a new teacher Joining us in 2020. Christine Burton will be starting fortnightly classes on Tuesday mornings from 11th February. Beautiful original designs in black work and crewel work are among her talents as a teacher. Christine will be teaching alternate Tuesdays staring from the above date.

We are also delighted to announce that Owen Davies, from the Royal School of Needlework will be teaching here at the end of March. Please watch out for further details of this upcoming workshop. It’s one not to be missed!

Jane Nicholas will also be with us again this year. Details to follow asap.

Beautiful stitching tools from Cohana are now in stock. These superb Japanese tools are now available online and in store. These products, which include scissor snips, travel scissors, rulers, pins, tape measures and magnetic pots for pins and needles, make lovely gifts.

There are some delightful kits from Jenny Adin-Christie all the way from U.K These kits are so beautifully prepared and packaged that opening each tiny parcel is like a present! A lovely gift and a very special purchase for those looking for a bit of a challenge.

The new Shepherds Bush Christmas stocking “Parker” is now available. He is a welcome addition to the ever-increasing Christmas stocking family. Parker has as a few new colours from Weeks Dye Works featuring Saint Nicholas accompanied by a snowman, Christmas trees and Santa in a sleigh pulled by 4 prancing reindeer.

There are new scissors from the amazing French artisan Jean Marie Roulot. I had the privilege of meeting the master craftsman on my recent visit to France. He is 84 now and still creating remarkable embroidery scissors with intricate designs. He is currently working on some new models in the art Nouveau style. He is as delightful as his scissors are!

These highly collectable scissors are absolutely exquisite to behold, and a delight to use. There is a range of models in stock at various prices from $60 up to $850. They will not last long and may not be reproduced again, so don’t miss the opportunity to own your own pair.
